First, I'd like to thank the whole Pixologic team for making me part of the Beta testing on the 2019 release!
During the Beta, I tested principally the NPR render on a concept mesh and then using the new Zremesher algorithm to create a character with my normal workflow. Overall, I find the NPR to have a very nice touch at its base level and also a lot of potential to have fun and make clean concept renders. The new ZRemesher algorithm is pretty much black magic! It make crazy clean topologies when you especially use it with the "Keep Groups" option like I do.
Below are my few tests and results...
A normal concept blocking. with NPR, it makes it look much cleaner!
A few more angles
I finished the highres and compared the NPR concept versus to the the finished mesh.
The Highres mesh was done using the new ZRemesher algorithm with the "Keep Groups" option activated. It's wonderful how the mesh is cleaner and makes it even more usable with Creases!
Tested NPR on a higher resolution mesh for fun.
