    Default Urangutan

    urangutan.jpg

Just a fun project I had to test fiberwork in Zbrush. Still a lot to experiment,
but I got a good start, I guess!
All modeling Z2, texturing in Projection master, Guv-tiled, and rendered in Z2.
I exported 3 renders out and composed them in PS. Then a few fiber brush
renders were made, and exported for final compositing in PS.

    Have a nice weekend!

Wow, well look at this primate! I feel good about looking at this pic, and my question is about the eyes. Would you mind explaining that reflection in the eyes? How do you achieve that effect? PS?

Frenchy Pilou, andreseloy, vlad74, Aztec...soljA, thanks a lot, I'm glad you
liked it. The reflection in the eyes was done with smudge brush in Z2, It
could be easier to paint something very light in one layer and apply it as
reflection channel just for the eyes, I guess I was too lazy to do that.
Thanks for ratings by the way, very generous!

    Help!
I need to decide which one of these are better. This one is less fierce_
looking and more female. Fiberwork is different too. Though I like the first
one more, I need to pick just one.
    Thank for viewing!

Well matvara, the last one actually is much better overall in nearly every aspect. Does that help.

Thanks Jason, It sure helps a lot, cause I've been looking at this the last two
days and it diminishes my judgement. Good to get fresh opinion from outside.
    Have a nice weekend!

I think the first one is very superior... i don´t like how is the light working at the mouth of the second picture.

Both are extremely well modeled and rendered, I am impressed very much by the overall image.
In my humble oppinion the second picture is far better than the first, it has a more united feel about it, I think it is due to the more warmth displayed by the smoother colour interaction. The first picture has a little too much contrast which tends to harden the surfaces.
Anyways, I'd be proud to have produced either of them :-)

Keep up this really nice work

Thanks Pencha, I too liked the first one better, except the beard part, which
was kind of stiff and too thick.
Hi willog, thanks alot for comment, I really appreciate. I've had a hard time
trying to find the best color saturation mode and still think I need to improve
some more. Personally, I could think of trying virtually to merge these two pics and work some more on fibering. Thanks again!
