This may have been asked before, but every time I see a Pixolator masterpiece I wonder what kind of hardware was used to create it. Can you share with us what kind of a system you're creating this character with, Pixolator?

I love every update Pixolator, but from the face I get the impression this is a male being and the body armor seems kinda shapely for a man .

Guess I'll wait for next update for more clues

Hey, hey, what's wrong with a sexy man in armor??!! I've had several staff over the years, who would think it was very natural.

Pixolator, do whay you do, it's always nice to see new options to try in the development of creative content. I already see possibilities, endless...

    Thank you

Wip Image #5: The mesh in the above image is a composite of 4 distinct meshes. The first mesh is the armor-pattern which was drawn directly on a ZSphere structure (The ZSphere structure is the modified version of the one shown in the 3rd of the sneak-preview movies.). Next was the inner-skin surface which was drawn on the same ZSphere structure as the armor. These two were combined into one mesh and then the cloth mesh was drawn directly on the composite mesh. Lastly, the head mesh was added producing a single editable mesh with ~10,000 polygons in the low subdiv level, and ~2.5 million polys in the high level. The mesh colors have been painted as vertex-coloring (not textures).

Reactor: When working on test images (such as the images in this thread) I use Windows and Macintosh systems (Laptop and desktop) with 1GB to 2GB of memory and mid to high-speed CPU.

    Thanks,

Very nice. This one is going to require a detailed tutorial like your Angler Fish. Very nice touch with the cloth flowing throuhg the openings in the armor.

It's the red sash that makes it. When the viewer asks themselves how he threaded it through his armor, rather than how you did this or that, you know you've sold the character.

    Beautiful work Pix.

I know you don't want to give a definite release date for Z3 but is there any chance of a rough idea of when it is likely to be released? Are we talking a month? 2nd quarter? August? Next Christmas? A vague date would stop us impatient buggers from mithering!

First of all: Great work, but I mentioned that already You're truly a great artist!

What I'd like to see... since it's based on the character we've seen in the previews, how will ZBrush deform this armor thing? I mean, you could implement a ZSphere Structure and see some deformations, couldn't you? I'd die to see this character in a fancy pose and watch how ZBrush performs while deforming such a heavily complex geometry!

I have tried to hold off on constantly posting on here but i am going to have to post on this...This is what i would say has been the greatest achievement since well the introduction of zbrush. I have one question tho can it possibly do hair like say anime style or more solid styles not like hair from poser or maya with the blurred edging and all? and if so could you put together a demostration plz...ty

How do you get such fine radius corners and smooth transitional surfaces? Are you creasing the edges within Zbrush?

Its amazing how cool you make even the simplest details pix. Great image... and technique...

You realize you have to do a tutorial at some point for it though. :P
