First Image!

site1023.jpg

Here is my first posted image.
There has been a lot of GREAT stuff posted on these forums lately so I’m a little unsure about posting this…
It was first modeled in Modo and then brought into ZB for detailing. It is also rendered in ZB. I learned a lot about ZB making this and there things I don’t like about it, but over all I am happy with it. The image is based on a design by Miles Teves.

Wild and Wonderful, Roger, fantastic design! From the side there are some really nice lines going in the form. I’m not familiar with that artist. Beautiful modeling! Let’s see somemore from you. 50.

Hey Roger,
Long time no see!
Lot’s of strange fuzzy memories of Animal Makers…
Yet another effects guy joining the Zbrush fray.
This place is positively swarming with 'em.

Very good details. Wire mesh posted will be good.

Excellent first…hell it would be an excellent 3000th!!

Don’t worry…zbrush sucks you in and the parts you don’t like will soon become so normal and natural that you will
wonder why all programs don’t do that hahaha.

How do you like Modo? Have you used other programs to compare it to…prefer it or no?

Welcome Roger! Amazing Sculpt you have there. I’ll be learning a bunch from your work… I worked with Miles back in early '96 at Dreamworks Interactive. A hell of a guy. I really liked his sculpt of Frankenstein’s Monster.
They used to sell it at Puzzle Zoo in the late '90s.

Just went to your homepage. Ahhh, you are a Foundation Guy! I just got off of Serenity. I worked with a whole boatload of Foundation guys there… GREAT bunch of guys. I worked with Ron and Mojo back in '92 on the pilot of B5…Damn I’m old…

Either way, I love the character and will be looking forward to more of your work…

Dickie

Well done, this is the first…first post I see looking like that!
Congrats!:+1:

Hey Roger! Great stuff. The cheek detials might be slightly too large, but its your creation and in the end, its what ever you like.

Cheers.

Still amazes me! Keep us updated.

good model:+1: i like the horn a lot:+1:
but i think his neck a little bit thin.makes it looks like the head and the body r not fit 2gather…my personal opinion

phillawson - thanks for the comments. I can see what your talking about.
kobusfick - thanks!
xsiFlasher - thanks - the design I was working from has a thin neck and it’s longer than I made it, but I like the contrast between the head size the neck and the shoulders.
