Hi Yoshii,

Great Work, I have seen this on the ZBJapan site.
I love your style. Maybe you can explain how you get this sharp

Thanks

Thanks!

I want to see more images.

great stuff yoshii! although I’ll personally always prefer the 2d stuff you did using fractal design painter back in the old days, this is really great! proves that cool artistic design beats details any day!

Hiroshi, we need a tutorial ( i want to paint textures like you)

Painting high quality textures using Projection Master is simply a matter of keeping in mind the size of what you’re painting on the canvas relative to the size that it will be on the texture itself. In other words, you want to keep a 1-to-1 ratio between canvas pixols and texture pixels.

If you keep that in mind while you work, you will be able to paint very high quality details with very little effort.

I’ve given a detailed explanation of this concept here.

And of course, practice is key. The more you work with this mindset, the more it will become second nature to you. You’ll quickly develop a feel for how large the model should be on the canvas based upon how large the texture is that the details will be projected onto.

Also, don’t be afraid to clone the texture (Texture>Clone) before you use Projection Master on it. That way, if you find that you got the ratio wrong or you just don’t like what you did, you can switch back to an earlier version of the texture.

i dint knew they do van goche nowadays hehe

Cheers

Thanks. I usually set texture image size to 4096.
When I use Projection Master, I don’t use scaling. I always paint at constant size. Because then a paint destroys pictorial image of high resolution with low resolution.
