You have a lot of good things going on with this model, and only a few problem areas. You might try finding some more reference images in a medical book or website to help you. Even though they will be different pictures of the male anatomy, it might help you notice similarities in the muscular structure and proportion of the body so you can pick and choose which attributes you like best for your model. Keep up the great work!
thanks for the kind words xaphos I will try my best.
I will try checking more some books
If anyone else see something mad on the model please let me know
By the way this my first even body modeling![]()
Nice try for a first time.. some things that could be improved perhaps.. his posture, he has a bit of a hump on his back the way it is standing now..
The rib cage is a bit to pronounced where it ends, it is much wider where the tummy goes...
The hip area, i don't know how to say this in english, but it is to narrow compared to a male, usually female has it narrow there
The but crack perhaps goes a bit too high not sure about this
Hello pixesoul Thanks for reply now about the hump I wanted to be that way I will try to see what i can do with the lower part of the body. I am having problem get detail on the feet and hands at the moment I am on 5 divition
Hey,
Not a bad start. Somethings that might also help you is to think about the ribcage and the pelvis in relation to each other. When your looking in medical reference books try to pinpoin where boney masses are changing the surface. You seem to be understanding the muscles ok, try looking at the proportions of the major bone masses. To put it more simply, the pelvis looks small to me. Good luck and keep at it!
p.
Work like you don't need the money;
Love like you've never been hurt;
Dance like nobody's watching.
Very nice, better than what I could do at this point.
I agree with pixelsoul about the ribcage and perhaps the hands could be slightly smaller, I don't know, may just be the angle.
Hey Chris
You posted a head of smeagol not too long ago right?
Concerning your current post, I quickly scaled your model to fit a proportion system of 8 heads...
I know alot of people use a 7.5 system, that works, but I've always found 8 easier, and since there is no ideal in the end...
Just remember to get the gesture of the major proportions resolved first before attacking the secondary movements and details.![]()

So here's a quick rundown on the vertical porportions.
(Seems the general proportion of the arms and hands are working ok for now).
So starting from the:
1) top of the head to the bottom of chin
2) bottom of chin to chest line (or nips)
3) chest line to navel
4) navel to inseam between legs, usually the inseam is the vertical center of the figure, usually...
5) inseam to below the knees
6) below the knees to the bottom of the feet
Notice the inset image, the adult woman is being measured using this system.
Also notice your current model has the proportions of the 5 year old (center figure).
Anyway, quick and dirty, tweak to your liking.
Have fun.
