    hey sebecesoir...
I feel your pain!...I learned a lot though on this last job I jsut did. Forthat fast skin shader.. Go to highend 3d...look up this shader called 'mix8layer' ...it works just like photoshop layers. Then put a lambert as a base on it and put its output into the a surface shader. Assign that surface shader to your object. For the layers in the mix 8, make one with miss fast skin...and one with miss fast skin specular. then adjust the levels of the layers as you see fit...then paint however many different maps into the the different subdermal layers you want. Go to the fast skin specular and paint a map specifically for the skin spec shader.

What's cool too about that 'mix8layer' shader is that you can mix as many as eight versions of the skin that you like!
even crazier is that you can plug a mix 8 into a mix 8 infinitly and have layers forever!

Also, make sure your lightmap is plugged all the way back around into the shader node of the surface shader in a full circle.

After much experimentation and the guidance of that master meental rayer jackdeth, this is the best way to go on skin shaders!

    hope this helps,

alan: cool...what shader was the eyes (blinn with hdri?)?
el:Hey, it looks like the crappy new highend 3d must have deleted that great shader!
Download this one instead...it's the same exact shader just rewritten to have 20 layers instead of 8:

    http://www.pixero.com/files/mix20layer.zip

also, pixero's (who actually used to work with jackdeth) got a good skin tutorial here:
    http://www.pixero.com/tutorials_skin.html

also, look around for another shader called bump combiner...it's a shader where you can mixtogether several bumpmaps...

Hey tiktok the eyes I used phong to eye and anisotropic to the cornea, it's very simple no hdr. I downloaded the mix20layer, but i'm not sure that is to run cause I work with mac, but thanks for your support mate.

Hi Sebcesoir how are you dude? The time node is part of the expression used on the file to the displ, no more. Thanks for your comment
