    here is my shot in texturing and skin shader.... im not much in modeling in this project... just in realistic texturing and sss shader...

    used zbrush for displace map, maya mental ray sss shader ...

    hope you like it....

    still much to do here... eye shader... ear details.. mouth texture...

    I know this is a zbrush forumn but could you perhaps explain or give a tutorial link on how to make realistic skin like that in Maya. Really would appreciate it because I cant figure out how, and you obviously have a lot of experience doing so. Very good job.

    I'd say that most of the look comes from the texture, which is a photo. Let's just say that it's a lot easier to get a convincing image this way, but it would have some problems if the lighting has to change significantly.
