Default No anger, but I'll eat you (Vampires and Hunters II)

    Hi,

this is my latest character. Modelled in XSI, textured, and detailed in Zbrush. Rendered in MR with the skin shader.

    RegionFinalRC7.jpg

I was inspired by the Underworld films, but I decided to make my vampire a little bit different, not pale, but the eyes should look dead, and wet...

    Hope you like it,
    Cheers,

Default It was awesome on XSI Base Too

    Hey Jester,

I would say you nailed it. I saw it on XSI Base too. You did a great job. I really like his eyes. The blood is the only thing that throws me. I wonder if it should be that hard in the shader or if it would also have some SSS even when its dried.

    Cheers,

    very good work.

I find the ears to be way too big, the chin shape is too exagerated and too pointy doesn't look good imo, and I agree about what's been said about the blood. Also the background and door look flat and layered with the vampire. It flattens the image.

Nice work on the vampires head and eyes, like the lighting.

5 stars, are the pores geometry or a bump?

Everything looks great, the only thing bothering me is the blood, it looks too consistent. I imagine blood is darker where it's thicker and lighter where it's thinner on the surface.

Here's an example of what I mean. I could be wrong, but to me it seems a bit odd.

    hi jester.

the skin looks really great .. did you use the integrated fast skin shader or the split sss shader?
a screenshot of the rendertree would be cool.

Beautiful job. I especially like the decorative knotwork on the wood paneling...gives it the extra touch. Congrats on an excellent work..

    Wow, like it alot!

One thing though I think the blood on his chin and around his lips should be more smooth and more shiny

Jester, really cool man! Only crit, is that the blood looks a little too flat and needs to look more moist. It looks more like red paint rather than blood imho. With that aside, this is great work and the eyes are fantastic. Keep it up!
