I had no name for it, so… Just started someting in c4d and brought it into ZB.
Wow…VERY interesting model. Can’t wait to see this one textured.
Nice job Baz.
I like the design, good work
I like it…but looks like it would be hard to remove once attached!
Excellent design. Very clean.
Thanks for the reply Here is a small update, now it’s ready for detailing.
@ Pride, he has no teeth yet, hahaha
Looking great Bas! It must be a cousin of the Snautwatz.
They hunt in packs, so watch out!!!
Lemo
Hiii, Lemon, this one is not ready for hunting yet, no teeth
I hope to make a render in C4D, pfff… a hard way to get what you want, special sss.
I use this guy:
http://www.vreel-3d.de/plugins/Translucent_Doku/links.html
Also do not forget that you can paint sss maps which make it look very real. Just plop those maps into the shader channels instead of plain colors.
Then this is great:

PS:I’m using C4D a lot.
Lieber Gott, hast Du das gemacht?! Nein, Lemo did
Yes I have VReel, a good plugin. Also Skylight can do a nice job but you need Mograph. I use Lumen for it (look here: http://forum.cinema4d.be/vb/showthread.php?p=10226#post10226) hehehee I got it after too much work.

LOL!
Will do. Tomorrow morning. First thing. Had a few drinks…

Bas, just like with a specular map which you would use to tell the computer how much of the specular goes where, a SSS map would tell the computer which areas are more translucent or not as thick as other parts. This will allow you more control over the translucency effect. I’ve not done it myself in practice but I’ve seen it done. Works out well.
Hi Mario That’s fun:-)
Tyon, I only get that result using the Vreel-plugin
