Heres a few basic ZB3 tutorials...

HI guys I’m far from proficient with Zbrush 3 yet but I’m having fun playing around and figuring stuff out so I figured I’d share some videos of some of the basics, hope you find em useful, more on the way

You can find the tuts here on my website:- [http://www.psionic3d.co.uk/page.php?3](http://www.psionic3d.co.uk/page.php?3)

Added to Veoh.com as well (better quality than youtube)

Top stuff Chap!
Thanks for taking the time to do that.

So- are going to update the wiki with the step by step?
(joke!- you’ve done enough mate)

Thanks.

Thank you very much Psionic.

Extremely helpful!! Thanks so much! Very clear and just what I needed! One question I have… with Zproject brush. Mine is turning out really dark, I tried lowering the intensity (as you suggested in the video) but it’s still too dark… any other suggestion?

Thanks loads for the tuts!

wenna

Thanks,

its important to use a white colour and the “flat material” for the reference, I also use the fast shader material on the model in the vid so its easy to see the form of the model but to see its texture properly without shading switch to white+flat colour material…I think  I’m still learning this stuff as well lol

yep thanks a lot for the tutorials. There is a lot of cool stuff on your site. I added your site to my favorites. Thanks!

Thats a great British accent you have, thanks for the cultural injection there.:roll_eyes:small_orange_diamond:laughing: I keep getting tied up with the whole zee-brush vs. zed-brush thing.

Anyway I hate to be irrelevant:o since I am sure that it doesn’t matter at all.

~Thanks again.

Thanks for the help, it worked! I’m really excited about this, now I can maybe finish that dang lizard I’ve been working on for years… LOL Again thanks so much!

Great video how long do you think it will take you to do the next tutorial on save the texture?

thank again and great job

Hi, been away for a few days so it should be up in a day or two

Basically you goto Tool>Texture>AUV to give it some auto UV’s, goto Texture>New up top and create a new texture at the size you want your texture to be then goto Tool>Texture>Col>txr with only MRGB on (no zadd , rgb, etc) and it will grab your polypainting to the new texture you created!!

To carry on polypainting, turn off the texture by going to the texture pallette on the left and choosing TXTR OFF

Thanks man,

answered a number of questions I had and got me started quickly in Z3

Thanks again

Thank you, I watch another tutorial on how to keep your uvs and save your texture, but the problem that I’m having is when i save the texture in Zbrush and export to another software it loses the resolution and likes choppy with boxes all over the texture template, and it looks like a montage. How can i fix this and make the texture looks smooth?

thanks again you are alot of help
