So it’s the first time ever I get Zbrush in my hands. Im trying to learn the program as I model this cyborg Darth Mual.

I started with a very low base mesh, and sculpted up to level 7, almost 3’000’000 polys. Screencatpure right here:

As you can see, the topology isn’t quite perfect, so I decided to retopology the mesh. Fine, I started and I got to the hands… and dear god, that was impossible. So I decided take retopology (without hands) and export it to 3dsMax. Then I took the hands from the highres model (level2) and merged it with the retopology in Max. Fine, Now I have a nice mesh.

Allright. What I wanna do now, is bring this new mesh to Zbrush and “transfer” the details from the high res model (first screenshot) to the low res one (second picture). I have tried to Project it, just like here: http://www.zbrush.info/docs/index.php/Tutorial:ZProject_and_SubTools
But the result are awfull. First of all, the mesh is strechted at some places, and it’s not due to perspective distortion. And what is even worst, the topology is pretty messed up. Either I’m doing someting wrong here, or this isn’t the solution. So if anyone knows a workaround, please tell me.
Is there anyway to just tell Zbrush to use the low res mesh (picture 2) as the new topology?
Well, thanks for your time, and I apologize for my english. :o
