Wow! This stuff’s quite insane, especially the biomechanical creature.

yep pretty cool doom3-like monster.
maybe the feet r a bit too tall to represent the power of that machined cyborg-animal-whatever^^.

Some great work there friend. Love the beast crit up near the top. Top work. :slight_smile: But I have a question.

Apparently I’m doing something wrong with the HLSL shader. I keep getting a black/blue velvet look with mine. I had a friend that works with Ben Cloward look at it and he downloaded the shader and got the same effect. He said he thought it was a bad compile. Apparently that’s not the case since you’re getting semi-decent results. I even redownloaded the one that you posted a link to and got the same results. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

kyphur > Try this, in “Unwrap UVW” save your uvw, go up to the Map Channel 3, and load your uvw. (great model !)

A.Fredenucci> Thanks man! I’ll try it out tonight when I get home and let you know. Last night I did try changing the poly ID’s to 3 and set that in the shader but it was still no luck. That was after posting here and going back and reading Ben Cloward’s instructions.

kyphur > change your id only in “Unwrap UVW” not in the shader.
