Default Female form speed sculpt (Nudity)

Last month I Joined up with 3D.sk.com to learn the basics of female form. With this project I thought it was time to test what I had remembered so far, so decided to do a speed sculpt with no viewing of references. The base mesh started with a very basic mesh with no edge flow to dictate any form.

By sculpting fast, it would mean by doing so I would have to rely on what is hard wired into my head. I recorded the whole session and uploaded it for streaming which you can view hear my commentry. The whole sculpt took just over a hour incuding building a new topology. The hands and feet was not my priorityfor the speed sculpt, I will update this thread with new sculpts in these areas.

Part way through the sculpt of basic form, I used Zbrush rather cool topology tools to produce a new mesh, from which I projected all form base sculpt onto it. From there I continued to sculpt using a combination of the Move, Standard, Pinch, Smooth, Inflate and transpose tools.

Hi, is there another place that your video can be downloaded? I keep getting this error message: Outside your content setting. BTW: I am using a Mac but I have programs that will run Windows video.

There is another version of this video with no audio that is the Mov file, right from Zbrush, this should be ok with your Mac.

I found that watching this one with VeohTv works better than from the site page. In this link your have access to both versions, Audio and no Audio. To download it your need to get VeohTv ,the file downloads via that. Either way they should both be streamable.

Here is a texture test on the head between stages of the head sculpt. I did this texture test to see what she looked like at. Mind you this was about a body sculpt so I went a little off track, thought il post it anyway.

Thanks guys, that is helpfull. The more info the better. If I had done this off a refference picture it would have these areas correct but Im not going to correct these on this model as it wouldnt show what I had retained memory wise during my speed sculpt.

I was a bit silly actualy as the pic your commenting on wasnt my speed sculpt. I will do a new one, and with some refference pics plus using your advice on the areas shown above.

Thanks again, it wasnt harsh if its constructive. Its kinda dangerouse doing it fast as it may not be showing ature finnished result should I have spent a few hours on it, but hey thats whay this test was for.

This the quick sculpt version as shown in video. I should not have put other practice pics in my thread as it may confuse people on what was done in that hour. The pics below are direct from my saved quick sculpt. Feel free to crit.

Ok, I could not resist, here are some minor added changes some of which you mentioned.

    1) She apeared to have no hint obliques, so added some.
    2) Inner knee too narrow, added some thickness.
    3) For her arm position her arm pit should be higher at the back , lower at the front.
    4) Sholder blade should stick out more for that arm position.
    5) Her abbs apeared to have ended too early, this is corrected. (Red material shows more definition that is there.
    6) gaver her inner quad muscle more size athough this isnt shown in non of my 3d.sk references on any models I have.
    7) Lats smoothed out.
    8) added more weight to Bum cheeks.
    9) Added more weight to tricep area.
    10) enlarged the feet
    11) added the pectorial muscle definition to the arm pit.
    12) redifined the collor bone to reflect the low fat level on her.
    13) Ribs too shallow for posture.
