    Default scaly-dragon WIP

    Hi all,
here´s my new WIP. Hope u guys like it!

I looked at many pictures of dragons, so the design isn´t realy mine...
Starting with Zspheres to get a basic shape and then rebuilded the whole thing, using the adaptive-Skin as guide (inside xsi cause i had some problems with retopology at the toes and wings).
After i had the basemesh done, back into zbrush, i started blocking in the muscles roughly (they won´t be visible at the end because of the covering scales).
I wanted the scales to overlap each other, so i decided to not use alphas, instead i´m sculpting each scale seperatly(using masks). Realy time consuming process...so my progress is very slow ^^

    Crits and comments very welcome,
    greetings ever.

still awsome.. gona be a Bleep to texture haha
wings are to fat. also scales to seem a tad big. also scales are normally smaller at joints

    Default thx all

Thanks allot for the comments guys, glad u like it.
Havent had the time to work much on the dragon the last week (the leg-scales are finished now), i keep u updated if i have some more!

strict9: i Agree with u, havent done much at the wings, i keep it in mind when i come to them! Thanks. And yes ur right, zbrush Can paint geometry but it´s hard for me at some places (at the toes and inside of the mouth ^^)

Altermind: Ur right, the scales that i did first are a tad big, maybe i redo them later.....but noone has seen a dragon in reality, so ther are no rules ;D

Alpha-leader: here is my workflow for the scales:

You should also explore alphas/masks and the gravity brush's, during early beta testing quite a bit of this was explored. I don't think those links are all available as of yet, at least I remember an issue in the past. So here are 2 images that I did quickly (seems a really long time ago) that might be of help.
