interesting interview! IT’s nice to see Zbrush being used in quite a different line of business than the usual game/film art and to a great success as well Great KrakenCMT - keep it up!

congratulations! great !!!..
and great interview…
Christopher,
Nice interview and work on your website.
You have brought focus on the use of ZBrush for product design…which I think is woefully under-represented on the website. Perhaps this will encourage users of this forum to share their tecniques and applications for this great application. In my opinion, ZBrush’s influence has only begun to be felt in the product design arena!
Bravo.
Steve W.
Thanks for the nice comments, guys!
Steevo, you’re absolutely right. I haven’t met many in the product design industry (aside from industrial design) which use 3d applications very much. It’s definitely a field that ZBrush seems to be underused. But it’s a field that ZBrush seems to be meant to excel in.
Pixologic/KrakenCMT,
Very well deserved spotlight on a member of the forum community. Rather funny, I had thought on a few works it would be nice to see this type of honorable mention for various members. Definitely couldn’t of happened to a better piece and hard working member of the community. Keep it up pixologic and hope to see more from you KrakenCMT!
Interesting read! Keep those interviews coming Pixologic, and keep up the nice work KrakenCMT! Your Santa model was an excellent way of portraying christmas feeling. Cosy.
Your final Conan rendering is truly amazing…
love the frog! Was all of the frog’s elements done is the same way with multipasses and comp’ed in photoshop?
If it is the same procedure ,could you explain in a little more detail about your multipasses. Looking forward to experimenting with multipasses…
you said;
"It wasn’t until I read Sebcesoir’s post regarding how he created the MatCaps for his Robocop"
Do you have this link?
Thanks
the MatCap Repository link doesn’t appear to be working.
Your works are so marvelous!!!
very nice works, especially “Greyhounds”
Kraken,
Conan always wins ! I’m so glad that the community is giving you some well deserved recognition. I’m also curious where your next learning curve takes you. It is certainly a bold move, because your grounding in realism is wonderful.
Great interview!
Hi, vedanta
Here’s the post I was referring to where Seb explained a little about Matcaps. It was a simple explanation, but opened up many more options!
I used Lightwave to render the frog. But used ZBrush to sculpt most of the items and for texturing them. Here’s a link to the frog WIP thread which shows all the steps involved in making him.
Thanks KrakenCMT…
i like conan model and i checked your website many cool stuff man very good interview
