People regularly ask if there’s a way in ZBrush to cut holes through meshes. In reviewing the online documentation for ZBrush 3, I discovered that there’s a lot of info about how to create completely new topology for models, but nothing really about how to modify an existing topology. So I’ve created a new tutorial that covers just this subject.
- How to use retopology to remove unwanted polygons from a model.
- How to use retopology to add new polygons to a model, such as bridging through a mesh between two holes.
- How to transfer details from the original model to the new topology.
Hope you find it useful!
