That bird design bares a striking resemblance to work from Aaron Horkey. Any connection?

    Default Supers

    Hi all,

Thanks for the nice comments. It was nice to do something different for once. Back to making figurines. A set of superheroes. Works so far but
I'm sure there will be changes.

    Si

Impressive both in quality & quantity, I think you may have violated the laws of thermodynamics or something. Great work! -S

    Default Thanks

Thanks very much. I would say that I have defiantly got faster. Now my workflow various from sub-div modeling or just dynameshing everything
and using polygroups. Nobody seems to use projection master or zsheres 2 anymore.

I am setting up a Shapeways shop also.

    Cheers

    Si

I took a look at your Shapeways shop, and regarding the image previews Shapeways generates I suggest changing the orientation of your models before uploading them. One method is described on this guy's blog:

    http://sidnaique.blogspot.com/2012/0...ientation.html

Even though you also include a properly oriented render, the first thing people see is your figures from the bottom (Except for Otto the Autopilot, of course). Changing the default view would give people a better impression of your models, and might even stand out more when they search through Shapeways.

    Default 80's retro AGAIN !!

I always seem to end up with these retro toy making jobs. Everything has to be 80's looking.
