I like his scar, in a way the whole thing looks good. Like something you might find in an abstract art museum. I would be interested in your process even if your are new, i can always learn something from the basics, its always good to practice simple stuff.

I personally just like to use polyspheres or cubes for busts, but I guess whatever you like better. Your main issue at the moment is just facial proportion, I did a sketchover to sort of show where the features should go:

Aside from that, I would address volume. The nose doesn't come out enough, the eyes don't go in far enough and there is a lack of overall facial structure. Work on the proportion and that'll be a good start though, good luck.

Alright, this time I actually went into Photoshop and used the liquify to rough out the proportions. They aren't perfect I'm sure, but they'll get you going in the right direction. I also did some painting to show which areas need more volume and which have gotten blobby and need to be smoothed down:

Just get the move tool and play around with it. You might want to even consider moving down to a lower subdivision level so you can move large forms easily without getting bogged down in little details. Also consider smoothing down some of your forms past where you think you should. They'll retain their essential qualities, but it will allow you to rework areas that have gotten blobby or overworked.
