Thank to All of You guys for such a kind comments!

dustinbrown this is my solution for hair/hair shadow rendering and compositting:
    haircompositing.jpg

In many cases it works well but sometimes You have to spend a few seconds fixing hair shadow pass in photoshop(for example this dark line I marked on the image above)
To be honest I've never had max crushes during rendering matte/shadow material. Maybe it's dependent on shadow type used?
I rendered everything in mental ray if that's matter.
Good luck with Your hair renders!

Ah, so you do a bit of Photoshop cleanup. The reason I wanted to use the Matte/Shadow material is so I could make turntables and comp them in After Effects. To do that you either need a hair+hairShadow pass, or you need a hair pass and a hairShadow pass. I seem to recall there being a hair pass option in the list of render layers, but I'll have to do some tests to see how well it works and if there are any restrictions to it. I know some of those render layers don't work with certain (mi) shaders for example.

Thanks for taking the time to put that example together for me. I really appreciate it

Cool updates! She is looking very good. Thanks for the tips on the hair. A couple of suggestions for your pilot could be a white scarf and a handle-bar moustache. Tally-ho!

Thumbs up I like your models!!

Very very nice . Good work Tomala

I don't like to much the hair only, maybe you can fix in compositing again (there are strange black areas in the back )

I also try to make the neck longer and more delicate, maybe the model will be even nicer

    Nice nice nice

    Default Hola

Hola Tomala, la verdad es que sos un genio. Pero, hablás castellano? Quiero hacerte unas preguntas sobre algo que me está volviendo loco y el inglés no lo domino tan bien.

    Gracias Master.
