    Thanks Darran...
...next, texturing the head of your awesome shark!
I hope to live up to the beast you've created!

No worries. I appreciate the reply. It's inspired me to break out the water colors and take a look at the RL mediums (and color theory) again!

    Cheers!

Long time no post... baby & work... thought I'd throw up a shot of the WIP texture for our "Jaws Effect" project:
    http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthre...&page=19&pp=15
Teeth and gums are just low(er) poly stand-ins with a quick and dirty polypaint job... somewhat shiny and clean at the mo, but will change soon
Apologies in advance for the cheesy bubbles...

Be cruel, be kind, all feedback welcome
Will post a couple more shots later

Anywho, nice to be back, if a little briefly. Been checking out some of the posts on ZBC over the last couple of days, which have been astonishingly awesome work; I'm feeling pretty out of touch and inadequate

Thanks guys, being so out of practice at the moment, it's very heart warming to get a reassuring slap on the back

Another shot, this time the top of the head & showing the texture detail being worked in at 8k res. The eye is just a quick paint job for now...(and I should probably have ref'd the eye-to-head proportions first, because it's making the head look smaller than it should... oh well, it's a WIP!)

Hey Geert, thanks man. Hope to be popping by over the weekend to see where you're at with 'the thin veil' and any other new wonders in your thread.

Leo, thanks for stopping by, I'm an admirer of your work

A beauty shot... moonlit monster madness.

The details on the shark are top notch! Are you gonna use him for an underwater scene?

Hey Julian, I hadn't planned to do anything more with Pilgrimage, it was a test to see how quick I could do a concept piece using ZB... very quick as it turns out

Great shark Herman, you've got the detail just right. The dead eyes and the little pits/sensory things on his nose. Would look great in a kelp forest background. I would do a Shark vs giant Squid diorama.
