Still not finished with the little guy. I figured out how to use this toolbag thing. (I think), the diffuse seems to be backwards. maybe its the normals. idk.
I got it to just over 6,000 triangles. any crits or advise for color are welcome. :smiley:

Heres a low res of my current wip. Its just for practice. lots of crashing.
and then more crashing. apparently mental ray is trying to allocate a google plex. never had these problems with max 2009.

nice work man! looking really good.

Made it in sculptris and brought in zb4 to test a mat. made a flat render, bpr render , and the other is a quick ps color adjustment. zb seems to scatter or blur light well enough but getting the colors to mimic skin is kinda tricky.

D&R, I can’t be the only one here hoping that you might post BIGGER images. My poor ol’ eye aren’t what they used to be. :smiley:

ok i doubled doc size and i guess scaling my object effects the placement on the canvas or the sss global scale or something and my sss settings had to be re worked in the render settings. now that i know how to do that it makes it much easier though.
lost my eye material somehow. :frowning:

I love this thing. no distractions just sculpt. I made this and then textured and rendered it in zbrush today. was a good hour or so. the bad hours i just fall asleep sitting here lol. not good for productivity.
