Here's an update on the skin shader and better lighting, still got to make adjustments to the maps.
That looks really nice. Are you creating the skin shader yourself?

Thanks, no it xsi fast skin shader and mental ray. First time i've ever used it but i'm learning a lot tweeking settings and adjusting maps.
Here's my final post on this guy, i know the model isn't that great but it's been and experiment for an xsi zbrush workflow. Now i know what i'm doing i'll spend some time on a proper sculpt.

Testing stage is over now, i've begun work on the proper sculpt for this guy, still only level-4 sub-d so lots to do yet. Just trying to get the anatomy sorted first.

Its just a wip, i haven't even painted proper textures yet, i'll do that when i sculpt in the fine details.

I haven't done a bump, spec or even a proper color map yet, i just like to slap on a rough color map and sss to get a feel for things.
