Hi Glenn, this is really coming along well! I think it could be more interesting with a trainer holding the bag than another fighter. IMHO

Have a look at this shot of George Foreman and trainer Dick Sadler.

    Cheers, David

Hey Thank You for posting that photo David..You are right, and that's just the shot that I was thinking of, but from a different angle for my piece...Goerge Foreman the heavy bag destroyer..Yes....I have a good documentary called When We Were Kings...It's about the fight between Mohammad Ali and Goerge Foreman in Zaire Africa..The Rumble in the Jungle..It tells about how Ali would walk past Foreman in the gym and never look at him while he was hitting the heavy bag...Can't say I would blame him for not looking...LOL..Scary to think about the fact that he would be doing the same thing to your body as he was doing to that bag. ...Great shot of his trainer in that photo..just what I needed..Thanks Again David.

    Hi Deke,

Just wondering where you found that photo of the guy in the gym with the walls full of boxing posters, I like it a lot!

    Cheers,
    David

    Thanks Guys..

Deke...Hey,..Those are Great Inspirations for sure, and will for sure come in handy somewhere along the line as I explore the possibilities for these boxing scenarios that have captured me so to speak....Really like those two ones of the Joe Louis verus Max Schmelling fights...Schmelling figured out the weakness that Joe Louis had before the first fight that they had...Louis would always drop his guard before he threw a punch, which would allow Schmelling a clear right hand knockout shot at Louis..which cost Louis the first fight between the two of them....After that and before their next title fight,..Louis learned not to drop his guard before throwing a punch,..and that was all she wrote for Max Schmelling.. as Joe Louis won the World Chamionship Title...Putting a huge thumb in the eye of Hitler so to speak, and in the process giving the rest of the world that was fighting against Hitler..a symbolic ray of hope that Hitler and his millitary machine could be defeated..
Thank You for the Inspiration Deke..Much Appreciated..
    Glenn

Just wanted to see how this trainer holding on to the heavy bag that I started work on this morning is going to look in this boxing gym piece that i'm putting together.

The trainer looks great already. I was waiting for some kind of a self portrait. Why not? The Rembrandt (but not only) way, always a self portrait in these huge scenes.
Here, a warm happy new and creative year Glenn !

    Thumbs up

    Hi Glenn,

The trainer is taking shape quite nicely! Keep it up ... you need to find some need for hair in this tableau. Perhaps Don King would be perfect!

Michalis just wants to know what you look like so he can turn you into a roman god sculpt....hehe..
Actually that would be quite a compliment...I'd volunteer ( ah vanity is thy name and pride is my shame )

good pose and great lighting on your trainer @SpiritDreamer

@blue , you... a 2012 with lot of fun then. Not roman portraiture, an older Satyr bastard is the appropriate approach. With a nice pair of hoofs.
