    Default the wrestler (WiP museum_scene)

    blTh.jpg
The wrestler, the warrior, the fisherman, the shepherd, the man who speaks low, so not to attract attention of the gods... The ancient greek "hybris".

Haven't finnish it yet, tried to keep it in lo poly. New UVmaster just rocks, basic model in blender and 3dc, rendered in blender. Its a part of huge scene (lot of statues there).

That's looking really good! The texture is selling it really well. I can't wait to see what else is in store!

I want to thank ISK-86 for his great tutorial. "make it real" Its about mental ray, but works great with blender and many other apps. Strongly recommended.
This exactly is the way I did displacements and normal maps here.

Another wip. A simple ancient statue of a boy. A blender render again. A ~40 000 poly model +displacement+normals

Very, very good sculpture. Really believable as an ancient statue.

I know you used Blender to render... was it Blender's standard renderer, or was it the Yafaray or Lux plugin?

Really nice sculpt and a very convincing render. I'm also curious as to what renderer you've used in blender.

Thanks guys, its blender internal renderer (v2.5 alpha2 64bit build), three lights (warm and cold), plus AO using a gradient sky map (upper white, lower a warm orange ochre). Its really easy to setup. Displacement and normal maps as ISK-86 describes in his fine thread. I used a specular map too. DOF via nodes.
