Thanks hipi. OK I'm an artist using traditional mediums, lot of shows in galleries etc. But not a 'great' one of course. As for this 3d medium here, I'm just a newbie.Really thanks for the support.
and here something new I'm working on. Still lot of work to be done. Now its at 300k and yet lot of details due to fine topology. A 17k base model.

A first render test. A ~35k model+displacement maps.

Congratulations ... Great Work !!!
Always enjoy your work Michalis
Have u considered using the classic style on a more contemporary subject?
I think you've got this nailed down - it'd be cool to see u branch out in a totally different direction - just for a little while at least. Hell, it might even be fun!
Looking forward to your next post.
Thanks so much

@Klephed
Yes Klephed, you're right. I really need to focus somewhere else.
Just placed it in the 'museum scene'

Another one, this is an archaic 'kouros' head (~470BC). This almost fractal and parabolic geometry of these sculpts looks almost against Euclid IMO.

And a blender internal render test. What I did here is to import the lower (3k) and a higher (~800k) mesh to blender and convert them to a multires model again via shrinkwrap. Used normal map for the rest details. This was better than using displacement maps.

Wow_specially liked the scratches over the sculpted head, which giving a nice feelings for a natural sculpt.... keep going.....![]()
Thanks for your kind words mridulsen.
Scratches are just random effects. Precision of sculpture is my concern here, this may not an interesting effort in this forum though. Even the word 'precision' is a matter to discus here. I prefer my world of 'fantasy' here, not the other one...
Then let me thank you for sharing your special world with us here.
I have took a few sculpture classes and enjoyed them. So digging this reality very much.
Keep this museum running I am looking forward to seeing more displays.
Having a break from my personal studies on ancient sculpture.
A fisherman's portrait, just a quick study. Still a 100k mesh.
and some multi_res views, base mesh at 2k
