Hello all,
I kinda liked the shrimp holding onto the planet, like he’s trying to save/protect it.
I like that. it has the charm of a children s book illustration. I mean that really in a good way.
Welcome! Interesting concept, I look forward to seeing more of your designs.
Thank you for your comments, I do like the storybook feel to the concept. Here are some changes, playing around with making the shrimp as a small planet.

Here is a concept image I drew up of my next project, 3D interior/exterior environment designs. See how this one will turn out in the next 5 weeks or so.

This is more of a concept 3D sketch for a short film I am creating. I like the design now its just a matter of building this character so it can be animated as well as doing some more work on the teeth and gums.
Zbrush for the sculpting and texturing
Maya 2011 for the shaders and rendering

I quickly threw together some of the progressive saved files I have just to give a quick idea how the sculpt proceeded. One of these days I am going to remember to record some of my sculpting sessions.

Nice concept. I’m digging it quite a lot. What a monster, a mix between a frog and human is quite new. What is his story?
Hey Eiad, Thanks for the comment. Sorry for the very delayed response. He is a character for my short film I am working on. Basically the Toad(he stands at least the size of a 2 story house) is a collector/trader within the world of the spirits. He sends smaller spirits out and about the human world to find and collect items of interest so he can sell and trade them within the spirit world. He really is only interested in valuables.
First Pass at the head of my main character for my short film. Built and Textured in Zbrush. Rendered with Mental Ray in Maya using Fur for the Hair.

Rendered in Maya. The eyes need some work.

A quick Concept based on a 2D drawing I did. I used Dynamesh for pretty much every piece of this project. I also forgot to click Doc instead of Window for making the Turntable, just not in the mood to redo the render right now. Enjoy!
And was your drawing inspired by this?
