Sculpting A Boat

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the best way to go about things in zbrush. I was trying to model the hull of a speed boat today using sub-d and thought it might be faster to do a sculpt of it first and then retopo it instead of spending an hour tweaking verts to get the shape just right.

I tried to sculpt the hull in zbrush but was at a loss as to how to get the shape.

Any ideas or suggestions how to best sculpt this?

You want to look at the hard surface brushes - see the appropriate videos on the Pixologic education page.

Also see this video - it gives a good intro to the features of ZB that might be used - booleans might come in handy, for example.
