Unhappy Not a free Sculptris anymore??????

Thats cool for Petter to come to such amazing company, but I erally enjoyed Sculptris as a free app....I really hope Pixologic wont merge Sculptris into ZB, I cant even imagine that, ZB is another type of app for me, I use both of em, and I love both, but as a free version I loved more and more Sculptris....

    BTW congrats Petter.......

I wonder how will Pixo merge this technology into ZBrush? for all those people saying that pixo shouldn't do this... don't be naive. Pixo didn't just purchase the rights for this program and not hope to profit with it in some way. It's just good business.

I guess it will somehow be merged into zsketching... or maybe it will be a completely different alternative to zspheres? The software looks really good though, I'm sure it will benefit enormously from zbrush's expertise (and viceversa... we all know zbrush interface could use some simplicity).

Or maybe zbrush will release a separate, low-end, cheap sculpting program... with the same core ideas (simple, straightforward) and maybe hope to get a more amateurish audience? This would probably mean a higher price tag for the regular zbrush... not good.

Use the reduce brush as you go to decimate areas that have become too dense, and don't forget to experiment with the strength slider. Since learning these habits I have had no stability issues at all.

Ten years ago I could not have imagined ever using a "decimate" brush! It alone is worth the price of the program!

The reduce brush rocks! Playing with it is an art form in itself. When I first started using it I did not think it worked very well. But you just need to get closer to the mesh and click from different angles.

I find the subject of this thread misleading...

A very cool App. Fun to play with. The interface is really clean and easy to use.
