    Default Forum lag!

    Hello there,

some others still mentioned a problem of this board. A huge lag from "hours" until written replies can be watched. Whats going on there? Only new threads seems to be fine (with a lag of 5 minutes..)

    greetings,
    Tobias

In order to combat spam, ZBC moderates all posts by new users. After you post there is a delay until a moderator can read the post and verify that it's not a spam attempt. It then gets approved and appears on the forum.

All accounts automatically convert after your first several posts so that what you say starts appearing immediately.

ZBC is a popular target for spammers. On any average day, we get over 50 spam posts. The fact that we moderate like this is the only thing that keeps the forum from being overrun with advertisements for blogs, porn, "enhancements" and just about anything else imaginable -- including software piracy.

That's explains why my post took 1 hour to appear not bad considering the post(s) before took 1 day to appear

Thank you aurick. I had hoped that it was something similar to that. With so many from the original Sculptris forums having the same issue with migrating over to here, that is some very useful information that will calm some nerves (mine included... ). I'm sure it has to be quite a lot of reading to make sure that those 50 or so useless posts don't make it in...lol. Thanks again.

    Hello aurick,

thank you for the fast response. Since it´s a good prevention system against spammers, i have no problem to wait for my replies/threads.

    greetings,
    tobias

I'll second that. This has always been among the most pleasant, friendly, and informative places I've ever been on the Web, and I know that keeping it that way takes a lot of work.
