Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's DetectEdges functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a gear model that has a triangulated mesh with no PolyGroups or no mesh ID, but has edges to help utilize the DetectEdges function. Once DetectEdges is activated, we can convert our mesh to quad based geometry, create PolyGroups, and most importantly retain our clean or hard edges. Erik Heyninck- thanks a lot! glad you like it, i don´t have an academic background in sculpture but i had some classes of life drawing at university. i indeed look to follow the same tricks artists that i admire use once in a while, but to tell you the truth i usualy make the characters in standing poses because i always fail when trying to have a more dynamic pose. working on that, just need to understand better anatomy to go for some action poses here´s some studies i´ve been doing lately. hope you like it

Myselfsama - Thank you very much! I rendered that in max using vray. created an box and applyed turbosmooth. decimated the characters and put them into the scene . notice you need to use the real world scale to render it correctly. i´ll post some shots from it to describe the process meanwhile here´s some more stuff :
