Go In Depth with...ZRemesher 3.0 - DetectEdges
Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's DetectEdges functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a gear model that has a triangulated mesh with no PolyGroups or no mesh ID, but has edges to help utilize the DetectEdges function. Once DetectEdges is activated, we can convert our mesh to quad based geometry, create PolyGroups, and most importantly retain our clean or hard edges. This function can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing and sculpting or features that utilize PolyGroups.

Selena Work in Progress
So I am currently working on an old idea of mine i had back in university of a Flamenco dancer character I called Selena. My focus with this piece is to really work on getting cloth right, especially the skirt. Also I really want to focus on the eyes as a lot of my characters especially the more human like figures having bug eyes. I want to achieve a similar type of appealing female that disney created with Repunzal from Tangled. I see her as about 16 - 18 years of age, curvy figure but i want her to be engaging and appealing . I also want to draw some inspiration from Brave as she was a sensational character and I don't want your usual over the top, over sexualised typical media woman. Here are some WIP shots, most time so far has been spent on the face, next steps are to continually refine the figure and get started on the cloth which is just blocked in atm. Hope you like

Finished up sketch of my Will Terrell exercise
So here is the finished article of my Will Terrell exercise. I tried not to spend too much time on it as I wanted to treat it as more of a sketch than something to noodle at for hours on end. In the end I was happy with parts of it, I thought I caught the face well and the overall character to a fair amount but the pose is wrong ( posing in Zbrush is a true pain in my ass) and her torso is too long, in Terrells sketch she is much more squat. But good fun was had, hope you guys like it and would love to hear critiques as always.

Thanks GuzzSoares !! i really dig your stuff too, absolutely love your characters and how well you finish them. A lot of the credit with this Zsketch has to go to Will Terrell who did the concept art in the top left, really trying to feed off some of his...

Mr Precious
So this Guy working title for the moment is Mr Precious. I spent a very long time making him thus far, learnt a great deal in the process, I am hoping to take him further as I have a story for him but a lot of technical work still needs to be done. I need to low tope him and want to bring him into marmoset. But I hope you like him This is the jag for my racer I am planning to use, don't know how are I will take this idea though, but building the car was great, first real vehicle attempt, them curves be annoying at times! Jag was done in Maya not Zbrush, haven't quite got the mechanical workflow in brush down yet

Conker Project
So I saw recently a job opening at Rare. I spent my first ever work placement there when I was 17 and it really set me on the path I am currently on and naturally I have been desperate to get back to the company ever since. I put these two pieces of work together for my application as I try to make it a rule of mine whereby I produce work specifically tailored to a companies games before I apply, I find my success rate to interview is far improved by doing this. I loved conked to bits, it such a great sense of self and style for a game. Always loved the tongue in cheek stylised take and I had a lot of fun doing this
