Go In Depth with...ZRemesher 3.0 - DetectEdges
Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's DetectEdges functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a gear model that has a triangulated mesh with no PolyGroups or no mesh ID, but has edges to help utilize the DetectEdges function. Once DetectEdges is activated, we can convert our mesh to quad based geometry, create PolyGroups, and most importantly retain our clean or hard edges. This function can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing and sculpting or features that utilize PolyGroups.

In this Lesson, let's discover how to lock our camera in place across multiple applications using ZBrush's Universal Camera, create multiple render passes, and create a final composite inside of Photoshop.

Selfie-Bot
Here are some images of the Selfie- Bot sculpture I did back in August. This was a personal project and a ton of fun. The little image on his phone looks like crap and I plan to redo that, but otherwise, I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. Sculpted in ZBrush, printed on a Form 2.

Matt Flesher Recent Work
I was fortunate enough to participate in this years Zbrush Live-Sculpt off along with 23 other talented artists. I was an absolutely incredible and rewarding experience. This was my final sculpt entry from the 3 hr live challenge. I've also included a few of the practice sculpts I did to work out the concept and practice me timing and execution leading up to the sculpt-off.

Thanks Lespol! Your Grievous looks great too! I realize this probably can't be included as part of my official entry, but in my delerium last night I forgot to upload a back view. So here it is! (I also pivoted the wings to the correct angle they are supposed to be.)

Wip
Man, work and house projects have been kicking my ass this month, so I hardly had any time to spend on this contest which really bums me out. I am rendering final images as I type this, but here are a few WIP as well. I started over completely because I didn't like my blockout and wanted to mess with the proportions to make them more fun and toy like. So I started redoing it last night and literally spent all day since I woke up this morning working on this. I wanted to do a lot more with the detail and the paint, but I am pretty happy with this for getting it done in about 30 hours. Final images in a few minutes.

Thank you aurick. Now I found it: https://youtu.be/8GReR36Z67Q?t=118 There were some drawings looking like the cockpit is 90 degree rotatable for landing....

Imaginext Ultra T-Rex
This guy stands 2.5 feet in his upright position. What is show here is his 'dome' position, but activate one of the power pads and he stands up and roars. He's got a cannon seat in hi smooth as well as a boulder launcher on his back and a boulder launcher under his chest. The final product also has a whole cage assembly between his legs. And did I mention this guy walks? This is my original sculpt which got tweaked and embellished for the final product This was one of the coolest projects I've gotten to work on and it turned out to be an awesome toy as well.

Imaginext Dino Temple Playset
This is a stone Triceratops head from the Imaginext Dino Temple playset. When it is activated, it raises up to reveal a hidden passage and the hidden blades fan out from the head. The orange-ish renders are from Keyshot and the others are from Zbrush. There are also a couple pillars that sit alongside an entrance to the temple.

Imaginext Man-Bat
This was super fun to sculpt. I based this very heavily on the Bruce Timm animation style. His wings flap with a button on his back and his hands are sculpted to be able to hold an Imaginext figure by the ankles!

Recent Toy Work - Fisher-Price
Hi Everyone, My name is Matt Flesher and I am a sculptor at Fisher-Price. I've posted here a few times before, but it has definitely been a while. So to remedy that, here is some recent work from the last couple years from the Imaginext and Little People lines. These are all Keyshot renders unless otherwise noted. First up are an Allosaurus and Raptor from Imaginext's Dino line. These guys were a lot of fun and were a couple of the first projects I did almost entirely in Zbrush. I used to sculpt in Geomagic (formerly Sensible) Freeform exclusively and started transitioning to Zbrush about 3.5 years ago. Now I do about 95% of my work in Zbrush, bouncing into Freeform and Maya once in a while.

Kangamolerat
WIP of a Bobby Chiu concept. Started a while back as a spitsculpt (https://www.facebook.com/groups/DailySpitSculpt/) and I keep going back and noodling on him when I have time. Couple quick Keyshot renders. Original concept art here: http://imaginism.deviantart.com/…/Kangamolerat-Bunny-558612… https://www.artstation.com/artwork/kangamolerat-wip
