Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's DetectEdges functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a gear model that has a triangulated mesh with no PolyGroups or no mesh ID, but has edges to help utilize the DetectEdges function. Once DetectEdges is activated, we can convert our mesh to quad based geometry, create PolyGroups, and most importantly retain our clean or hard edges. This function can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing and sculpting or features that utilize PolyGroups.

Hi gang, This is Ylenia Bloodthron: The Dark Elf Enforcer. She is a character I created with the help of very talented concept artist Kasia Slupecka. Kasia created the first concept art based on my brief. I then created this version as a 28mm miniature that will be released as a 3D printable file for my Patreon . Kasia created a very beautiful realistic rendition of the character, which I then translated aiming to keep her original ideas intact, making a more stylized approach for the purposes of readability on the tabletop at 28mm scale. Hope you like this first iteration of her! Cheers! Claudio

Dwarf Beserker 28mm scale mini made for my patrons. I Challenged myself to do this in a short turnaround time from start to finish. I didn't want to noodle it to death so I'm happy with how he came out overall.

Here is an SMG I've been working on. This is just a Keyshot screenshot not a full on render... Still tweaking things here and there especially the render/ materials. This piece was created entirely with Zbrush using Zmodeller and Dynamesh inspired by the workflow used by Redstorm Entertainment on The Division / Ghost Recon etc from the zbrush Summit last year. Cheers!

This is a current work in-progress of a "Private Military Contractor" I'm working on for my own project. Still an early WIP mostly at the block-in stages. Been working out the color scheme up until this point and so far I'm liking the jeans lol. Right now I'm taking all the elements and building them one at a time to proper form... Anyhoo...

Tweaked this gun concept a bit (Click for link to hi-Rez): I also created a couple of beginner/ Intermediate tutorials on my youtube channel that deal with sculpting the male figure in ZBrush all done in real time. The first series deals with just the head: MWeCFYJXeJ8 The second series (In-progress still) deals with the whole body starting from the head made in the previous video: aXpAmrXHxqg Hope you find them useful! Cheers! Claudio

This is a piece I created for the Brainstorm Facebook Group. The theme challenge was to re-design Superman which I feel is very challenging being he's so iconic. I also felt the suit design in the latest film was phenomenal so definitely a hard act to follow. -Cheers! Claudio

Sixth scale is serious! It should look much more realistic in comparison with dressed dolls in this scale. It will be interesting to see the 3D printed sculpture. Cool work!

Almost there - just getting ready to separate parts for printing and making sure smaller details are thick enough and printable.

Added some skin textures although they probably won't show up in the print I'm guessing unless I do a large version lol. More for me I guess to get a better sense Cheers! -Claudio

Did a test Paintball marker to get a better understating of the Zmodeler brush. I'm getting more accustomed with it- its definitely a great tool! I still have a ways to go though lol. I think with more practice you can really do very intricate objects with relatively low polygon count. Claudio

Here is a recent piece - this is an M67 Frag Grenade I created for an upcoming tutorial on Gumroad: I will be creating a bunch of tutorials for creating military assets which I struggled a lot when I first started and was heavily inspired by Joseph Drust's work. I wanted to keep it simple for this first one so I chose to show how to make a simple grenade however I cover a lot of techniques. Rendered in zbrush and touched up in PS a little (not much honestly) lol Thanks for looking!

Really stoked for the upcoming Star Wars "The Force Awakens" directed by J.J. Abrams so I wanted to create a Sith Lightsaber concept for an upcoming tutorial on creating hard surface objects in Zbrush. Sculpting and Render passes all Zbrush with Photoshop comp. Hi gang, been working on a few things lately but here is a female portrait I sculpted for a tutorial I created on Gumroad. She started from a sphere using dynamesh. In a way she is a continuation of my other tutorial "Sculpting The Female Form" where I showed how to create the female figure but didn't go into a lot of detail about how to sculpt the face. Cheers! Hey gang: I just uploaded a new tutorial on "Zbrush Sculpting The Female Form (No Symmetry)". It teaches you how to approach sculpting the female form all without symmetry to make it more natural. This is only the first part in the series and deals with the creation of the base figure you see above. You can get it here on Selz and on Gumroad all Free of course! Cheers! Claudio
