Go In Depth with...ZRemesher 3.0 - DetectEdges
Let's familiarize ourselves a little better with ZRemesher's DetectEdges functionality. In this Lesson example, we'll take a gear model that has a triangulated mesh with no PolyGroups or no mesh ID, but has edges to help utilize the DetectEdges function. Once DetectEdges is activated, we can convert our mesh to quad based geometry, create PolyGroups, and most importantly retain our clean or hard edges. This function can assist with future mesh editing including Dividing and sculpting or features that utilize PolyGroups.

Average Joe
What a great pleasure and joy it was to create a 3D model based off of a @davidboudreauartworks design. I originally chose this character because of the extreme appeal that rang through not only the original, but every piece of art David Boudreau has made over the last 25 years. As a student of @mold3d mentored by Brian Jefcoat, I decided to work on David’s design as one of my two final pieces for the class. I hope you all enjoy it half as much as I did making it! @zbrushatpixologic was a huge part of this production process. Their powerful sculpting tools are second to none. Starting from just a sphere, i was able to shape and mold this into the model displayed, as well as utilizing their #polypaint feature for the #texturing and their rendering tools for final export to #photoshop using the Zbrush to Photoshop plugin. The Sheriff of Nottingham
This is the Sheriff of Nottingham, a model I recently produced working on my game character pipeline. Zbrush played such a huge roll in my production process not just with modeling but really combing through the creative process before finalizing the model down for production. Its iterative nature is something that continuously has me going to it in every production I've done in the past 6 years. Not only was Zbrush super useful in Dynamesh and building out a large portion of the mesh but also its use in posing and the transpose master tool. This model was created by me: Mikel "Menty" Wellington Concept Art : Javier Burgos If you like my model and would like to see more of my work you can check out my portfolio here: Cheers, Menty 295494007
